The hotel is situated up the hill from the main town, in a nice area with plenty to do around it. The service was top-notch, especially with the manager going above and beyond to assist guests. I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms had spectacular views and were newly refurbished to a high standard with a wonderful bathroom, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The service was amazing; the manager went out of their way to help me with a charger and our luggage due to my husband's health concerns. The location, despite being at the top of a steep hill, was quite near to the center of Bowness. The dining was good, especially with the view. However, the facilities were lacking in some areas.
